China’s housing disaster deepens as Evergrande shares drag – BBC Files

Shares within the Chinese property firm Evergrande own fallen as issues within the country’s struggling housing market deepen – affecting the broader economy.

Its mainland unit Hengda True Estate has defaulted on 4bn yuan (£449m; $547m) of debt, it printed on Monday.
